Exchange Server 2007 offered 64-bit support for greater scalability, voice mail integration, improved anti-virus and anti-spam protection, additional filtering options, and a new Outlook Web Access interface. From the user’s perspective, Exchange Server 2007 enabled unified messaging that let users receive voice mail, e-mail, and faxes in their mailboxes, and it let them access their mailboxes from cell phones and other wireless devices. From a management perspective, the release included Exchange Management Shell, a new command-line shell and scripting language for system administration. The shell complemented management afforded using the Exchange Server graphical user interface available on previous versions.
